Dr. Paul Sorchy, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Paul Sorchy is a Florida native from Tarpon Springs. His decision to become a chiropractor was made while in the eighth grade, the same year he made his decision for Christ.
In 1995, Dr. Sorchy graduated from Life University with his doctorate in Chiropractic. He opened for business in Clermont in 1998 and is a continued member of the Chamber of Commerce. He earned the prestigious fellowship in Chiropractic Biophysics,an advanced chiropractic technique, in 2004. He is also certified in physical therapeutics and several other techniques or forms of adjusting. In 1998, Dr. Paul was awarded New Chiropractor of the Year by the Florida Chiropractic Society. In 2003 he was awarded Physician of the Year by the National Congressional Commission’s – Physician’s Advisory Board. He was the co-chairman on this board in 2002. Dr. Paul has worked as a personal consultant for a chiropractic consulting group, the President of America’s first for profit Christian gym franchise – Lord’s Gym, has appeared on Fox news, CNN, featured in Men’s Fitness magazine, and ordained through Lion’s Roar International as a marketplace minister. His chiropractic practice and gym are located in Clermont, FL. Dr. Paul and his wife, Julie, live in Winter Garden, FL and are proud parents of a son, Paulie, and a daughter, Jocelyn.
He employs a well-qualified team of doctors, licensed massage therapists and chiropractic assistants. Dr. Sorchy serves a variety of patients from infants to seniors, family practice, personal injury, workers compensation and everything in between.
Dr. Albert Ferrer, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Ferrer worked as a Captain Paramedic for the city of East Chicago until he moved to South Florida to help his brother continue his education in law. While in South Florida, Dr. Ferrer worked in emergency medicine at a trauma hospital. After his brother graduated from law school, Dr. Ferrer moved to Atlanta where he attended Life University. While at the university, he became an associate professor teaching public health and toxicology, tutoring students in reading x-rays and x-ray pathology, and working in emergency medicine at a trauma hospital. Dr. Ferrer was elected President of Life University’s chapter of the Delta Sigma Chi Fraternity (Doctors of Straight Chiropractic), which is the oldest professional chiropractic fraternity.
After graduating, he moved back to South Florida to be with family and practice as a Doctor of Chiropractic. While in South Florida, Dr. Ferrer began work as a Team Doctor for the Miami Heat Wheelchair Basketball Team. He then became the coach and trainer for the team having many successful seasons.
Dr. Ferrer then relocated to Orlando/Clermont Florida to work with his friend, Dr. Paul Sorchy II. While in Orlando, Dr. Ferrer became Doctor/Trainer/Coach for the Orlando Magic Wheelchair Basketball Team having many successful seasons. In addition, Dr. Ferrer also pursued his own personal interest in becoming an expert windsurfer. He is widely recognized for being a very competitive windsurfing champion. Dr. Ferrer draws on his past experiences as a paramedic working in emergency medicine, as a coach/trainer for Miami Heat and Orlando Magic Wheelchair Basketball teams, and as a professional windsurfer to help inspire his patients reach their fullest potential.
Dr. Ferrer is a father of 3 successful children. Nicholas Ferrer, a real rock star and owner/operator of Little Star Guitar in Chicago. Andrew Ferrer, a 3D move animator, as in “Captain America”, now a professor at University of New Mexico. Jacqueline Ferrer, an archeologist, who eventually wants to become head curator for the Smithsonian.
Dr. Matthew Karcher, D.C. Dipl. Ac. CCSMS
Doctor of Chiropractic & Acupuncturist
Dr. Matt Karcher from Palm Harbor, FL graduated from Tarpon Springs High School in 1988. Served in the United States Army from 1988 on. He went on to graduate from Logan Chiropractic College. Dr Karcher also earned his Diplomate in Certified Chiropractic Sports Science as well as his Diplomate in Acupuncture.
Dr. Joshua Haskin, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic
Born in Michigan, but raised in Clermont, Florida, Joshua Haskin graduated locally from South Lake High School. He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Sports and Fitness from the University of Central Florida before completing his doctorate degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Realizing the importance of upper cervical spine health, and its connection to his patients’ quality of life, Josh completed one year of special training at the TIC Institute, studying upper cervical specific HIO technique. His time outside the classroom has been spent traveling, mostly to Central America, where he, along with a special group of chiropractors helped patients with tremors, high blood pressure, body numbness, and an array of other health issues. Josh was an officer in Delta Sigma Chi (a professional Chiropractic fraternity) and part of the inaugural class to start a chapter at Palmer’s Florida campus.
